AQEEDA OF IBN TAMIYA
) Ibn Taymiyyah’s view on claiming prophethood or affirming the prophethood of someone after Muhammad ﷺ :
- Someone’s claim of prophethood and that Jibril comes to him is Kufr. And if he doesn’t repent from it, he is a Murtad (Apostate).

Whoever affirms the prophethood of someone after Muhammad ﷺ is similar to the followers of Musaylimah and his likes among the false prophets.

Testifying that prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the final messenger of Allah as a part of the Shahadah irritates Qadianis so much to the point that they think it’s something new.

Qadianis use this reference to claim that Ibn Taymiyyah sayingبعد وفاتهmeans that he believed in the death of Isa ﷺ.
In the very next pages he made it clear thatوفاة doesn’t mean death and that Isaﷺwas raised to the heavens alive and will descend before the day of resurrection.

This reference is part of Ibn Taymiyyah’s response to the Christian claim that the hypostatic union can be proven from the Quran.
