Burning With Fire Is a Punishment That Is Unique to God in the Bible
Christian friends who face a serious dilemma, which is how to reconcile between the God of love who killed himself to save people from their sins out of his intense love for them, and the Lord’s instructions and his committing of bloody massacres, most notably the killing of children and infants. Christians tend to try to get out of the predicament by claiming that these bloody stories are a historical account of events that happened or prophecies of events that will happen . This is in fact a lie and a desperate attempt to distort the clear meanings. When the texts mention phrases such as ” as the Lord commanded ” and ” because the God of Israel fought for them ” and ” the Lord spoke to Moses ” etc., these phrases are completely clear and that the Lord is the planner and the one who carried out the massacres.
In the following text from verse 14 of chapter 20 of Leviticus , we find that the Lord decided on a unique punishment in all of history, which is burning with fire . The strange thing is that He decided on the punishment without a trial and without verifying the incident or who was the cause, but rather He decided to burn all parties directly with fire. This is the text:
14 And if a man takes a wife and her mother, it is lewdness. They shall burn him and them with fire, that there may be no lewdness among you.
Can a merciful God burn people alive, and then be called a God of love??
