Devil Coming in the Form of Parents to Mislead Muslims

There is no evidence for this statement from the Qur’an and Sunnah, but it is one of the statements of some scholars.

Imam Al-Qurtubi said: I heard our Sheikh, Imam Abu Al-Abbas Ahmad bin Omar Al-Qurtubi, say: (I was present with the brother of our Sheikh, Abu Ja’far Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Qurtubi, in Cordoba, when he was dying. It was said to him: There is no god but Allah, and he kept saying: No, no. When he regained consciousness, we mentioned that to him, and he said: Two devils came to me, one of them saying: Die a Jew, for it is the best religion, and the other saying: Die a Christian, for it is the best religion.
