Did the Pharaohs Mention the Descent of Iron Before the Qur’An
The verse contains several aspects of the miracle, not just one aspect, and the speech here will be to respond to the doubt that the Pharaohs knew about meteoric iron only to indicate the extent of confidence in the sources of those transmitting the doubts, whether atheists or Christians.
Almost all the sites say the same thing without mentioning a source. While searching, I found the book: Cosmic Debris: Meteorites in History. I found in the seventh chapter, entitled |“Folklore, Myths, and Public Facilities” the following:
- Saying that the Egyptians mentioned a metal from the sky is nothing more than an assumption. The first person to assume it was someone named Franz Von Lauth, who assumed that the Coptic word banipe means iron. He said that the ancient root ba alone means iron and the other two parts ni-pe mean from the sky and together they mean iron from the sky or metal from the sky. The truth is that this talk has no evidence. The man relied only on the fact that the ancient Egyptians used meteoric iron before for certain uses. That is, he builds his theory on the expected result from it before proving it. Others denied this talk, so it is considered a mere hypothesis.

- After that, someone named Wainwright came along and instead of using ba-ne-pe he used biz-ni-pt to revive the legacy of Franz Von Lauth . He said that he found evidence that in pre-burial ceremonies in the pre-dynastic era, the Egyptians used a forked metal knife, which evolved into a stone knife, then in the dynastic era it evolved into an iron chisel called mdtft-biz. The same iron chisels are found in Tutankhamun’s tomb, and that they are made of meteoric iron. Therefore, the ancient Egyptians called meteoric iron biz. This talk is not even close to being a hypothesis, because two pages above in the same book he says that the iron found in Tutankhamun’s tomb has not been analyzed yet! How did our friend know that the iron in it was meteoric or not?

- And then he adds something strange! He says that the word biz means iron or meteoric material in general :/ whether it is iron or stones??!! And he believes that the word biz was coined by the priests (therefore it has a meaning related to the sky) but in the end he says that the meaning at the end of the royal era evolved to become biz-ni-pt and this means “iron” only without referring to any other meaning besides biz ! There is no heavenly in it, nor are they sad!

- Another one named RJ Forbs replied that the word biz does not mean iron, but rather copper!

-
Conclusion:
-
The word ba is basically disputed as to whether it is iron, rock, copper, meteoric rock or meteoric materials in general!
-
The mere claim that the iron comes from the sky is just an unproven hypothesis.
-
Relying on the fact that the Egyptians used meteoric iron for specific uses is not considered evidence to prove their knowledge of the source because some of the materials mentioned, such as the evidence of Tutankhamun’s tomb and the materials of Tutankhamun’s tomb, have not been analyzed to determine their composition.

The strange thing is that the malicious people and even their sources all make up and that’s it, and no one has brought pictures of a Pharaonic statement attributed to one of the Pharaonic statement scholars or Pharaonic texts attached to the intended archaeological discovery site, and everyone issues a fatwa and that’s it. A very strange and distorted way of understanding the logic of scientific research and sound authentication.
If the Pharaohs mentioned it, it should have been in hieroglyphics, not Coptic.
If it was in hieroglyphics, it was an extinct language before the birth of our Master Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, by more than a thousand years
. So how would he know what the Pharaohs were saying??
This is if the information is correct and the Pharaohs said this
. As for the Coptic language, it was written in a Greek alphabet and continued to be used until 1100 AD. It flourished in the Greek and Roman eras and is a development of the language of the ancient Egyptians.
That is, the first person should determine whether the word he mentioned is Coptic or hieroglyphics, because each era has its own language and words.
