Fraud No. (18)_ Abu Darda_ I Do Not Know Anything About the Nation of Muhammad
Sahih Al-Bukhari - The Call to Prayer - The Virtue of Praying Fajr in Congregation - Hadith No.: (613)
I heard Salim say: I heard Umm Al-Darda’ say : Abu Al-Darda’ came to me angry, so I said: What made you angry? He said: By God, I do not know anything about the nation of Muhammad except that they all pray together.

First: It is known that Abu Dardaa (may Allah be pleased with him) lived during the period of strife that occurred among the Muslims, and they wanted to kill the Caliph Uthman. He died in the year 33 AH (the date of death can be reviewed in Majma’ al-Zawa’id wa Manba’ al-Fawa’id, vol. 9, p. 434) or in the year 32 AH, i.e. at the height of strife and conflict. When Abu Dardaa, a companion of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), found people differing, quarreling and insulting each other, and he found that they only gathered for prayer, unlike the companions of the Messenger who used to unite their nation in everything, in good times and bad, he would inevitably become angry.
Second: Abu Dardaa speaks about the state of the nation, which in the modern sense is the state of the state and the people, not the state of the companions or the state of specific individuals. Rather, he speaks about the state of a nation in which conflict arose over the world, just like the nations that came before it. It is known that the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did not participate in this conflict, but rather they were following the orders of the Caliph Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him).
Third: What is this doubt that he is throwing in our face? What is known about the Companions is that they used to come together in all their circumstances and hated division and fragmentation. However, those nations that entered Islam were influenced by religions of hatred and malice and were unable to treat people in Islam with love and brotherhood until the matter ended with the killing of the noble Companion Uthman, may God be pleased with him.
