God Send Down a Revelation to Kill a Donkey

We all know this shameful text in the Book of 1 Samuel - Chapter 15

3 Now go and attack the Amalekites, and utterly destroy all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep , camel and donkey . 4 Then Saul summoned the people and numbered them in the Talim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.

This text is distinguished by the fact that the Lord stipulates the killing of ” infants ” who are still breastfeeding, that is, they may be a week or a month old, because He distinguished them from children between the ages of two and perhaps even 14 years, just before puberty. The reference to infants is specific so that the killers do not confuse the matter and leave the infants alone.

But I have always asked myself how a revelation could be sent down to emphasize the killing of all animals, even though they could be spoils that the killers could benefit from. At the end of verse 3, the poor, peaceful ” donkey ” was among the animals that were to be killed. Did God send down a revelation to kill a donkey? Who would believe that this is a revelation from heaven??

He established a penal code for stoning a goring bull!

Exodus 21:28

” And if an ox gores a man or a woman so that they die, the ox shall be stoned, and its flesh shall not be eaten. But the owner of the ox shall be innocent .”

29 But if the ox has been a goring bull before, and its owner has been testified against, and he has not restrained it, and it kills a man or a woman, the ox shall be stoned, and its owner also shall be put to death .

30 If a ransom is laid against it, he shall pay to redeem its life whatever is laid against it .

31 Or if it has gored a son or a daughter, according to this judgment it shall be done to it .

32 If an ox gores a male or female servant, their master shall give thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned .

Here we ask, how can an animal that does not reason be stoned to death?! And whose flesh is not eaten? Rather, its owner is killed!

The fetus is killed in its mother’s womb!

Hosea 13:16

Samaria shall be punished, because she has rebelled against her God. They shall fall by the sword ; their infants shall be dashed to pieces , and their pregnant women shall be ripped open . Brutality .

What is the fault of the fetus that it should be killed and its mother’s womb ripped open?!

Incitement to hit the child with a rock!

Psalm 137:8

Blessed is he who seizes your infants and smashes them against a rock !

What reward and recompense awaits someone who hits a child with a rock?!

Killing a child in front of his family!

Isaiah 13:16

Their children will be dashed to pieces before their eyes, their houses will be plundered, and their women will be disgraced .

An unparalleled crime, crushing a child in front of his family, and disgracing the women!

This is not from God.. God is far above what they say, far above.
