Gold Is Forbidden for Men

Islam forbids gold for men and permits it for women because gold is an adornment more suited to women than men, who have no need to adorn themselves, and this contradicts sound nature.

God Almighty created male and female and provided each with what suits their assigned role in this world. Therefore, He assigned men roles and tasks that women cannot perform, and vice versa. But is there another wisdom behind this?
