I Kissed Fatima Until You Put Your Tongue in Her Mouth

This is a statement from Shiite books, and it is not authentic. It is a mursal hadith,

Imam Al-Dhahabi said in “Mizan Al-I’tidal” (4/460): [Fabricated].

Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar said in “Lisan Al-Mizan” (6/228 - Al-Farouq ed.): [ It seems that the one who fabricated it was let down, otherwise Fatimah was born a while before the Isra’; because prayer was made obligatory on the night of the Isra’, and it is authentic that Khadijah died before prayer was made obligatory ].

Do we understand from this that what came in the narration is falsely attributed to Khatib Al-Baghdadi, or is it a mistake by Al-Khatib Al-Baghdadi?

First : Al-Khatib Al-Baghdadi included this hadith in “Tarikh Baghdad” (5/292-293/Dar Al-Kutub Al-Ilmiyyah ed.) with its chain of transmission.

Second : He commented on this hadith saying: [Muhammad bin Al-Khalil is unknown].

I said: This is an indication that it is weak.

Third : Whoever attributes a hadith has referred you, and his responsibility is thus cleared.

I said: This was in the time of narrations, hadith scholars, and critics. When their numbers decreased in our time, it became obligatory for us not to mention a hadith without explaining to the people its degree of authenticity and weakness .
