P1: Among contingent beings (C), there exist beings (x) that possess properties (P) like goodness, knowledge, or existence (Q) in varying degrees.

P2: If a property P exists in degrees among multiple subjects, then there must exist a maximum or pure instantiation of P (P_max) that serves as the standard by which all other degrees are measured. (This is based on the principle of gradation presupposing a standard.)

P3. The maximum instantiation of any perfection (P_max) must be caused either by itself or by something else. (Law of sufficient reason)

P4. But contingent beings, by definition, cannot be the source of P_max, since they only possess limited and dependent instances of P. (Contingent beings are not self-explanatory nor maximal.)

P5: Therefore, if P_max exists, it must subsist in a being who is not limited or contingent i.e., a necessary being who possesses P necessarily and absolutely. (From P3 and P4)

P6: Such a being must exist necessarily, uncaused, and be the cause of all perfections in contingent beings. (Conclusion from P5 and the rejection of infinite regress of derivative properties)

C: Therefore, a Necessary Being exists who is the absolute standard and cause of all perfections found in creation and this being is God.
