The response here is to those who attack Muawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him), exploiting the suspicion of the cross on the Muslim currencies of his era.

  • First: There were not only signs of the cross, but also fire signs related to the Zoroastrian civilization.

  • Second: The trade relations of the Islamic state were the reason for this, and abandoning them all at once would be risky. Hence, the gradual process, until in the seventies of the first Hijri century - according to Tim Wells (Image 3) - a new type of currency appeared with Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan standing.
