Prophet Ate Donkey Meat
Among the nonsense that Internet Christians come up with that makes us ashamed to respond to it because of its triviality, and if it is true to say that there is no doubt at all, among them is the saying that the Messenger - may God bless him and grant him peace - ate donkey meat !!Suspicion: The donkey prophet
To respond, with God’s help, I say:
From the hadith of Abu Qatada: ” He was with his companions who were in ihram, but he had not entered ihram . They saw a wild donkey , and I was busy
mending my sandals, but they did not inform me about it. They wished that I had seen it, so I got on it and forgot the whip and the spear
. So I said to them, ‘Give me the whip and the spear.’ They said, ‘By God, we will not help you with it.’ When they asked
the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said, ‘Did anyone order him to ride it or point to it?’
They said, ‘No.’ He said, ’ Then eat what is left of its meat. ’” Agreed upon.
Al-Albani said in ” Irwa’ alGhaleel ” 4/213 :

Then Al-Bukhari ( 2/130, 3/449 ) narrated it on the authority of Abdul Aziz, who is Ibn Rafi’.
And Abu Hazim Al-Madani, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abi Qatada, on the authority of his father, said:
” I was sitting one day with a man from the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in a house on the road…

We will help you with something, so I got angry, so I got down and took them, then I got on, and I tied the donkey and hamstrung it,
then I brought it, and it was dead, so they fell on it and ate it, then they doubted that they had eaten it, and
they were in a state of ihram, so we were happy.
I hid the arm with me , and we caught up with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace .
So we asked him about that. He said: Do you have any of it ? I said: Yes. So I gave him the arm and he ate it until…
He ran out of it and it is forbidden
It was narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim, Abu Dawud ( 1852 ), Al-Nasa’i and Ibn Majah ( 3093 ).
And Al-Darqutni ( 285 ) and also Al-Tahawi and Al-Bayhaqi and Ahmad ( 5/301 ) from other paths on the authority of
Abdullah bin Abi Qatada narrated something similar.
This is the hadith that Christians rely on . If they looked closely at the hadith, they would find that the donkey that was hunted was not an ordinary ” domestic ” donkey, but rather a ” wild donkey .” Suspicion: The donkey prophet
The difference between them is vast. The evidence for the prohibition of domesticated donkeys is that Ibn Qudamah, may God have mercy on him,
said : Most scholars hold that domesticated donkeys are prohibited . Ahmad said: Fifteen of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, disliked them . Ibn Abd al-Barr said: There is no disagreement among Muslim scholars today about their prohibition. End quote from alMughni ( 9/324 ).

And for us, what Jabir narrated , that the Prophet , may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade the meat of domestic donkeys on the day of Khaybar , and permitted the meat of horses. Agreed upon. Ibn Abd al-Barr said : And the prohibition of domestic donkeys was narrated from the Prophet , may God bless him and grant him peace, by Ali , Abdullah ibn Umar , Abdullah ibn Amr , Jabir , al-Bara’ , Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa , Anas, and Zahir al -Aslami , with authentic and good chains of transmission . The hadith of Ghalib ibn Abjar is not to be ignored, given what contradicts it.
It is possible that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, permitted them to starve , and explained the reason for its absolute prohibition , because it eats dung. Abdullah bin Abi Awfa said : The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, absolutely prohibited it, because it eats dung.
