Prophet Exposed His Thigh in Front of His Companions

6 min read 1345 words

Yahya bin Yahya, Yahya bin Ayoub, Qutaybah, and Ibn Hajar narrated to us (Yahya bin Yahya said: He told us. The others said: He told us) Ismail - meaning Ibn Ja`far - on the authority of Muhammad bin Abi Harmalah, on the authority of Ata’ and Sulayman, the sons of Yasar, and Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman; that Aisha said:

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was lying down in my house, with his thighs or legs uncovered. Abu Bakr asked permission and he gave him permission, and he was in that state. He spoke. Then Umar asked permission and he gave him permission, and he was in that state. He spoke. Then Uthman asked permission. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sat up and straightened his clothes - Muhammad said: I do not say that all in one day - then he entered and spoke. When he came out, Aisha said: Abu Bakr entered and you did not move for him, and you did not pay attention to him. Then Umar entered and you did not move for him, and you did not pay attention to him. Then Uthman entered and you sat down and straightened your clothes! He said: Should I not be shy of a man before whom the angels are shy? Sahih Muslim

The doubt:

The Christians claim that the Messenger was reclining with his thigh uncovered when Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) entered upon him, and this is something that a Messenger is not permitted to do, to uncover his private parts in front of people. In response, we say, with the help of Allah the Almighty:

First: The hadith does not specify whether what is uncovered is the legs or the thighs, and it does not necessarily mean that it is permissible to uncover the thigh.

Second: There is no evidence that the thigh is part of the private parts, and if someone says that, then the extent of his argument is that it is part of the minor private parts and not part of the major private parts, which are the private parts.

Second: There is no evidence that the thigh is part of the private parts, and if someone says that, then the extent of his argument is that it is part of the minor private parts and not part of the major private parts, which are the private parts.

Third: We know that legislation did not come in an instant, as came with the prohibition of alcohol in stages. As is known, legislation came over a period of twenty-three years and was not completed until the last days of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So from the context of the hadith, we see that it was not part of the private parts at that time, so when the one of whom the angels were shy came - Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) - who was very shy, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) covered his noble thigh out of consideration for the feelings of Dhul-Noorain (may Allah be pleased with him)

Fourth: Perhaps the questioner did not know with whom the Messenger of God was sitting, and this is due to the narrow limits of their slow understanding and their fossilized minds. The first was the father of the Messenger’s wife, Lady Aisha, may God be pleased with her and her father, and she is the one from whom the hadith was narrated. The second was Omar bin Al-Khattab, who is also the father of the Messenger’s wife, Lady Hafsa, may God be pleased with her and her father. Everyone knows that according to Islamic law, these are the people of the house who usually enter at any time, so there is no harm in that (how foolish are the minds of Christians)

. Fifth: If uncovering was not permissible, the Messenger of God would have straightened his clothes and sat up straight from the moment Abu Bakr and Omar entered, but he sat up straight and straightened his clothes out of respect for Uthman, may God be pleased with him, because he was a shy man.

Sixth: We ask the questioner and say to him what is nakedness according to your concept and what are its limits according to this text that came to us from John, Chapter 13, Verses 4 and 5… He rose from supper and laid aside his garments and took a towel and girded himself with it. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded. … I wonder what the Lord of the Christians is doing and did his nakedness appear before his disciples after he took off the towel with which he was girded after he began to wipe the disciples’ feet… By the way, we remind the Christians that among those present at this meeting was Mary Magdalene We ask and repeat, how did Christ take off his clothes and dry the disciples’ feet and remain naked? Were his disciples from his household so that he would be exposed before them, and was Mary Magdalene as well?!💀

Seventh: - Who is the disciple who was reclining on Jesus’ lap and whom Jesus loved according to what we have received from the book ****** and what does this obscene text indicate that shows us that Jesus is effeminate, God forbid… Gospel of John, Chapter 13, Verse 23 … (And there was reclining on Jesus’ lap one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.) And who was the one who was reclining on Jesus’ chest in verse 25 of the same chapter … (And he leaned on Jesus’ chest and said to him, “Lord, who is he?”)

Eighth: - What are the limits of shame in the following texts, O Christians, you who have gone astray and foolishly claimed that the most honorable of creation is not a prophet: -

  • And Noah began to be a farmer and planted a vineyard. And he drank of the wine, and was drunken, and uncovered himself within his tent … Genesis 9:20

  • And David returned to bless his house. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How honorable was the king of Israel today, that he uncovered himself today in the eyes of the maidservants of his servants, as one of the fools uncovers himself … 2 Samuel 6:20

  • At that time the LORD spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go, loose the sackcloth from off your loins, and take off your sandals from off your feet. And he did so, and walked naked and barefoot. And the LORD said, As my servant Isaiah walked naked and barefoot three years, a sign and a wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia … Isaiah chapter 20 verses 3, 4, 5

  • And he also took off his clothes, and he also prophesied before Samuel, and lay naked that whole day and all that night … 1 Samuel chapter 19 verse 24.

And finally, but not least, after this comprehensive and complete response, and after the foolish tricks of the Christians were exposed and the extent of their dealings with God’s prophets and messengers, is there anything left for them to say? We say to them, fear God and do not slander people with things that are not in them, and know that God will hold you accountable for everything you utter of slander and calumny against the honor of the most honorable of creation with things that are not in him. And we conclude with the Almighty’s saying (Rather, We cast the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it, and thereupon it departs). So when truth casts falsehood, it hits it in the brain, and a brain injury is fatal and deadly. Finish it quickly.
