The pagan origins of the sacrament of Communion

The Eucharist ritual… Communion… where the Christian unites with his God when he eats bread dipped in wine… so that the wine turns into the blood of Christ, and the bread into the body of Christ… through a secret union between God and his worshippers…

This ritual is agreed upon by Catholics, Orthodox and some Protestants… taken from ancient paganism…

The Aztec peoples of Mexico had a ritual in which they ate their God… therefore Western missionaries were amazed at this similarity between Christianity and paganism… each of them eats his god

When man lost life, Christ became incarnate and gave us his body to eat and live forever.

Strange!!??

Don’t the above words remind us of one of the legends of the ancients???

For example, the legend of the swan that offered its blood to save the lives of its young!

This legend is embodied - unfortunately - in sculptures and pictures on the walls of churches!

When I visited the church, I noticed a sculpture on the altar depicting a swan feeding its young. What does that mean???

Answer:
The symbol of the mother swan feeding her young has roots in an ancient myth that predates Christianity .

Legend says: During a time of famine, a mother swan slashed her chest with her beak in order to feed her young ones with her blood.

Another legend says that a mother swan fed her dead young ones her blood to bring them back to life, but she died too.

According to tradition, the early Christians adapted the myth and made it a symbol of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The pelican symbolizes Jesus Christ, our savior, who gave his life for our salvation .
Through sin, we were dead, but through the blood of Christ, life was restored to us. Jesus Christ still feeds us with his body and blood during the rite of the Holy

Jeremiah 4:22

For my people are foolish ; they have not known me. They are foolish children, and they do not understand. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they do not understand.
