The Sun Prostrates Under the Throne
It was narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari that Muhammad ibn Yusuf told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of al-A’mash, on the authority of Ibrahim al-Taymi, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Dharr, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to Abu Dharr when the sun sets : “Do you know where it goes?” I said: “God and His Messenger know best.” He said: “It goes until it prostrates beneath the Throne , then asks permission and it is given permission. It is about to prostrate but it is not accepted from it, and it asks permission but it is not given permission. It is told: ‘Go back from whence you came.’ Then it rises from its place of setting.” This is what God Almighty said: “And the sun runs to a resting place for it. That is the determination of the Almighty, the Knowing.” Surah Yasin 38 First: Interpretation of the hadith from the religious perspective
The meaning of the word prostration in the language is complete submission and obedience to the Almighty Creator. Some people interpreted it as meaning that its prostration is what it is in terms of permanent subjugation and its setting is its setting. Likewise, God has created for everything in this universe angels entrusted with His command. I will give an example of what I say about the angel entrusted with the mountains when he spoke to the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and asked him if he wanted to collapse the two mountains on them. Likewise, the sun has angels entrusted with it. From here, some scholars said that the meaning of its prostration is the prostration of the angels entrusted with it, or that what is meant by its prostration under the throne is its submission to God and its obedience to the system that He has established for it .
Ibn Battel said: The sun ‘s asking permission means that God creates in it a life that can be spoken of, because God is able to revive inanimate and dead things. Another said: It is possible that asking permission was attributed to it metaphorically, and what is meant is the angels who are entrusted with it. The author of the book Aysar al-Tafasir said: The sun being under the throne is not strange, for the entire universe is under the throne . And its asking permission and being given permission is not strange, if the ant manages its life with the permission of its Lord and speaks, thinks and acts, then the sun is more deserving of that, and it speaks with its own speech and asks permission and is given permission
Glory be to Allah, who said: (Have you not seen that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But many upon whom the punishment has come into effect. And he whom Allah humiliates - for him there is none to give him honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills. 18) Surah Al-Hajj. The meaning of the prostration of these things is their submission and what is seen in them of the effect of creation. So everything prostrates to Allah, the Exalted, meaning it submits to Him in what is desired. This is a matter that applies to every being in existence, no matter how great a person imagines its greatness and temptation. By its power and effect, it is under the rule of God, who disposes of it as He wishes, and every movement in the universe is by His command, glory be to Him. Not everyone can realize that wherever the sun goes,
it will remain like any other creation in the heavens and the earth: that it is prostrating, worshipping God Almighty under the Throne. Because the heavens and the earth are all under the Throne. And God Almighty says that it will remain like any other creation in the heavens and the earth, that it is prostrating, worshipping God Almighty under the Throne.
Second: Explaining the hadith from a scientific perspective
. In the hadith there are thousands of examples that mention a universal scientific fact for scientists to use as evidence through scientific reasoning on the power and oneness of God Almighty, as in his saying, may God bless him and grant him peace: “Do you know where the sun goes ?” They said: “God and His Messenger know best.” He said: “It runs until it comes to a rest, prostrating beneath the Throne.” etc. The hadith is an interpretation of God Almighty’s saying: “And the sun runs to its resting place. That is the determination of the Almighty, the Knowing.” (Yasin: 38). The hadith is an interpretation of the Holy Qur’an and an extension of it, because both are revelation from God Almighty to His Messenger.
.
It was previously believed that the sun was stationary in space, until astronomers in the current scientific era discovered that the sun moves in space at a speed of more than a thousand miles per minute. So if scientists speak about the scientific miracle in the Qur’an and Sunnah in mentioning a universal scientific fact that was only known very recently, then they should refer that not to the laws of nature in themselves, but to universal laws and systems that are determined by the Almighty, the All-Knowing
Hence, we demand that scientists discover where the sun goes at this tremendous speed and where it comes from. This also confirms to us that the Holy Qur’an and the Noble Prophetic Sunnah are nothing but the word of God inspired by God Almighty to the heart of the Chosen One, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and that they are a miracle that will continue throughout the ages and generations until God wills.
.
Also, We believe that The thone of Allahسُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ is the highest place
Whatever is in creation is under it
