Surah-86-6-Sperm-Backbone

The interlocutor of the doubt mentioned that the Holy Quran made a scientific mistake when it said that the man’s semen comes out from between the backbone and the ribs .

Allah the Almighty said:

(So let man consider from what he was created. He was created from a gushing water. It comes out from between the backbone and the ribs.) At-Tariq: 5-7.

The meaning is: It is the flowing water that came out from between the solid, fixed bones, and from it life comes.

Some people have difficulty describing the gushing water from which man was created, as: (It comes out from between the backbone and the ribs), because the semen comes from the testicles, and the egg comes from the ovary, while (the backbone is the back bone with vertebrae extending from its top to its bottom, and the ribs are the bones of the chest, and according to most sayings, what is meant by it is the bones of the man’s chest… So how can this be correct ?!).

First:

The Arabs and all previous nations from centuries before Islam knew that the source of reproduction in males is the testicles, and castration of animals and slaves was famous. In Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 4788, “Abdullah said: ‘We were on a military expedition with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and we had nothing, so we said: “Should we not castrate ourselves?” He forbade us from doing so.”

This was not a matter of knowledge that was recently proven.

This is sufficient to respond to the doubt, but there are surprises awaiting the absent and ignorant.

Second:

In language, there is no problem in mentioning something more comprehensive and general than mentioning something precise and specific, especially if it is known to everyone. For example:

Machine No. 2 in the Juhayna factory produced a can of jam.

When we say:

The can of jam came out from between the walls of the factory

, or the can of jam came out from between the machines of the factory

, or the can of jam came out from 6th of October City, or so on.

There is no mistake in that, because we did not deny that the can of jam came out of Machine No. 2, but we talked about the main source of the exit of this can.

Likewise, the Holy Quran did not deny that the man’s semen came out of its place known to all humans.

Third:

Does Machine No. 2 create or manufacture everything by itself, or does it have a primary source that provides it with what it needs?

In the previous example, Machine No. 1 supplies Machine No. 2 with the necessary components to complete the manufacturing.

Now: If we say that the product comes out of No. 1, then we are talking about its primary source and there is no problem with that.

Also, the testicles are not separate from the rest of the body, they are connected by vessels that supply them with the main components to complete the manufacturing.

These vessels are at the level of the male kidney, i.e. between the backbone and the collarbones, and this is what we will learn in the next paragraph.

Fourth, and here is the surprise:

Did you know that the reproductive system, whether the ovaries or the testicles, first arise between the backbone and the collarbones at the level of the kidneys in the fetus in the second month, then they move down at the end of the second month, and therefore the gender of the fetus cannot be determined until after the third month!!?

So what is the evidence?

Are these the sayings of Muslim sheikhs?

No. These are the sayings of foreign doctors from foreign medical sources, as will follow:

Embryology

Anesthesia of the testicle and epididymis is best understood starting from the embryological origin of the respective structures. The testes are embryologically derived from the same level as the kidneys and, therefore, share a common level of innervation, that being the T10-L1 level for pain conduction and T10-L2 for sympathetic innervation. As the fetus

matures , the testes descend into the scrotum

Testicular migration is divided into two phases; the first phase corresponds to the migration of the testis from the abdomen to the internal inguinal ring, whereas the second phase corresponds to the passage of the testis through the inguinal canal, until its final destination in the scrotum (2). Finally we say:

At the time of the Holy Quran, all people knew where the man’s semen came out, and what was mentioned in the Holy Quran was knowledge beyond what people knew at the time. It is a general mention of the emission of the gushing substance that does not contradict scientific facts, but rather contains indications that were only known recently.

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.
