Double Eclipse Narration

The double eclipse narration in Sunan Ad-Daraqutni is not just weak by Sunni standards of Hadith, it’s even weak by Shi’i standards.

They claim that the word قمر can’t be used for the moon in the first (or the last) days of the lunar month and it can only be called هلال.

Here are some examples of muhaddithin and MGA himself using قمر for the moon in the first and the last days of the lunar month.

And since Qadianis don’t care about the authenticity,here is a narration from Muhammad Al-Baqir about this eclipse where he was told that the lunar eclipses only happen in the middle of the month, his response was that it will be a miraculous event unlike the usual eclipses.
