Refutation - Failed Prophecies

A simple refutation of the qadiani religion is dealing with the failed prophecies of Mirza ghulam Qadiani, as mirza himself says:

“To Judge my truthfulness or lies, there is no better test than my prophecies.” (Roohany Khazaen, Vol. 19, P. 288)

“Let it be known to unbelieving persons that my truthfulness or falsehood will be judged by my prophecies. There is no other touchstone for it. (Pamphlet, 10th July 1888; Aina-e-Kamalat-i-Islam, P. 288)

“It is not possible that the prophecies of Prophets are delayed.” (Roohany Khazaen, Vol. 19, P. 5)

“To turn out a liar in his own prophecy is biggest disgrace of disgraces.” (Roohany Khazaen, Vol. 15, P. 382)

Even though there are several famous failed prophecies made by mirza ghulam qadiani, by his standard a single failed prophecy is all that is needed to prove him wrong.

Obviously Qadianis dont see these prophecies to be “fails”, so they will reinterpret their meaning, twist them or make them metaphorical.

An example being mirza’s statement:

“I will die either in Mekkah or Medina.” (Tadhkira, P. 591)

Mirza died in Lahore, Pakistan, and never ever in his entire life did he even set a toe in either Mecca or Medina. Which obviously shows that the statement made by Mirza is a lie and therefore it’s the biggest disgrace of disgraces according to his own words.

Yet Qadianis will interpret this to mean “he will die a victory like that of Mekka and Medina” which is impossible to conclude from solely looking at the prophecy. Even if that interpretation is granted, the death of mirza can not be called a victory in any shape or form, as he himself in his final moments was not being able to talk or communicate, falling unconscious multiple times, and eventually dying due to being too weak after having several diarrhoea attacks in his bed, as their own sources and the eye witness testemonies of Mirza ghulams death.

Irrefutable Example of a Failed Prophecy

However there are enough failed prophecies which are irrefutable and free of “metaphorical interpretation” with no rational and justified rebuttal, according to Mirza Ghulam’s earlier statements, all we one needs is 1 single failed prophecy inorder to disprove someone’s claim of prophethood.

In an announcement dated November 5, 1907, Mirza notes the following revelation he received

“I shall lengthen your days also.”

Then Mirzaexplains the revelation.

This means that those of my enemies who say that only fourteen months of my age are left after July 1907 or prophesy my death within a certain time will all be confounded and God will lengthen my days so as to demonstrate that He is God and everything is under His control….

[Source: Tadhkira pg.978, 980]

Let’s break it down.

Some enemies made prophecies that Mirza would die within a certain time, of which some said Mirza would die within 14 months after July 1907.

Which means they claimed Mirza would die before September 1908.

Mirza said they’ll be confounded and Allah will lengthen Mirza’s life as he received the revelation.

Mirza dies 10 months later, in May 1908.

Failed Attempt of a Rebuttal by Qadianis

The latest edition of Tadhkira features a footnote [See Tadhkira pg. 978] by Mirza Bashir Ahmad on how this prophecy was still fulfilled. I’m not quoting the footnote here because it spans over 3 pages. I don’t think anyone who appreciates common sense could take the excuses he made in the footnote seriously. Furthermore, the references in footnotes are no longer verifiable with original source materials. There’s no reason for any non-Ahmadi to believe anything written by Mirza Bashir Ahmad without solid references to accessible source material.

  • Qadianis will argue that the other person involved later changed his prophecy to a different date (August 4th. 1908) on which mirza ghulam didn’t die after initially prophesying his (mirza’s) death to be within 14 months, implying that therefore the other person (abdul hakim) was unsuccessful in his prophecy because mirza ghulam didn’t die on August the 4th. 1908 and claiming that “it would be unreasonable to hold the Promised Messiah (as) to a prophecy that the one who prophecized altered and updated.

The only thing that God revealed was “I shall lengthen your days” which the Promised Messiah (as) took as a response to Dr. Abdul Hakim Khan’s initial prophecy something that the Doctor voided himself. You cant bind someones interpretation at a specific time/scenario as absolute to a prediction/prophecy has been voided.

Since he changed his prophecy we should logically test on whether the Promised Messiah (as) died on August 4th date or not.

The Promised Messiah did not die on August 4th.

Hence Dr. Abdul Hakim Khan’s prophecy proved to be false.”

  • This is completely irrelevant and not a rebuttal to it being a failed prophecy. On the last page of those three pages regarding that topic (page 1010) Mirza makes a final statement

“This means that those of my enemies who say that only
fourteen months of my age are left after July 1907 or
prophesy my death within a certain time will all be
confounded and God will lengthen my days so as to
demonstrate that He is God and everything is under His
control…”

Mirza Ghulam emphasises on the point that he “will not die within 14 months” and that his “life will be longer than those 14 months” and it being a means of “God demonstrating his control of everything”. Fact is, Mirza died within 14 months whether you take the first date given by abdul hakim i.e before September 1st. 1908 or the second date given i.e August 4th. 1908 both of which are within 14 months to which Mirza replied with a “revelation” claiming God will “lengthen his days” and “he will not die within 14 months” So no Mirza’s days were not lengthened to be longer than 14 months, even if you want to claim “but abdul hakim changed his prophecy to august 4th and mirza didn’t die on august the 4th” it doesnt matter because there is no need for Allah to fulfill the prophecy of another crazy man who claims revelation from Allah like mirza does and make him seem like a prophet, in fact this is one of the wisdoms of Allah as He subhanahu wa ta’ala made both (mirza ghulams and abdul hakims) prophecies fail.

Mirza prophecised to live longer than September 1st. 1908 and died before September 1st. 1908. - his prophecy failed.

Abdul hakim changed his prophecy to Mirza dying on August 4th 1908 and mirza died before August 4th 1908 - his prophecy failed.
