Has Evolution Been Experimentally Proven
Has evolution been experimentally proven?!”
🪫 “Has evolution been experimentally proven?!”
A study in the journal Nature , under the banner of “experimental evolution,”
claims that when a predator (Paramecium tetraurelia ) was added to the algae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii ,
over about 750 asexual generations , it was able to evolve and live in aggregates called palmelloids ,
rather than living alone — making it difficult for Paramecium to prey on it.
It then suggests that this demonstrates that unicellular organisms can evolve into multicellular organisms.
📌 First: Remember that we are responding to them from the same study they are citing.
I wonder — did these algae acquire the ability to form aggregates when this ability did not exist before?!
❌ Of course not.
The same study states that these algae are originally capable of forming palmelloids —
which are aggregates of 2 to 16 cells that stick together through gene regulatory mechanisms —
facultatively in nature.
However, in this experiment, algae were found to form these aggregates obligately .
🪫 “The ability of wild-type C. reinhardtii to form palmelloids suggests that the founding population in our experiment already possessed a toolkit for producing multicellular structures.”
But while the palmelloid condition is expressed facultatively in wild-type C. reinhardtii ,
the strains that evolved in the experiment are obligately multicellular .
🧠 So what can you conclude from this?
Either:
The genes responsible for regulating the clusters were destroyed by obligatory destructive mutations,
as happens in the bacterial rescue system (SOS ), so they spontaneously produce clusters,
or
Regulatory gene inactivation caused this shift.
In both cases, this has nothing to do with the Darwinian scenario ,
because the genes were already there — they were just inactivated .
🪫 Even the algal clusters lost their ability to move:
“Our evolved multicellular isolates lack motility.”
🤯 What does all this have to do with the Darwinian scenario?!
Even more amazing is that the Darwinists made the difference between unicellular and multicellular organisms
a matter of adhesion!!
They ignore:
Cell types
Genetic structure
Composition
Organs
Genes
Genetic programs and mechanisms
Differences in genetic complexity
Existing organizations
Cell cooperation
Their coordination
The existence of genetic programs that make all of this work
🚗 It’s as if you say that a car is itself a collection of junk,
but if you stick it together — without any consideration of the design that shapes, changes, includes, coordinates, organizes, and manages those pieces together —
it will perform its function in the most complete manner.
