Is Christ God Because He Has Angels and Will Judge Others
Christians prove the divinity of Christ with this verse:
“For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will reward each one according to his works.” (Matthew 16:27).
They say that the angels were added to Christ, so he is their God and Creator, and that he will reward humans. Doesn’t God alone have all of that?
Unfortunately, the matter is not as Christians understand it. The addition of angels to Christ is not because he is their Lord, but because they serve him, strengthen him, and help him. God does not need angels to help him, and this is what the Bible confirms: ”
And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him.” (Luke 22:43).
“It is written, ‘He will give his angels charge over you to guard you,’” (Luke 4:10).
“Do you think that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he will presently presently provide me with more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matthew 26:53).
The Bible teaches that Satan is a fallen angel and has his own angels
: “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought with his angels” (Revelation 12:7).
Does adding angels to Satan mean that he is their creator???
Certainly not, but they were added to him because they are his followers and servants.
As for the subject of Christ judging people, he will judge as a mere human being and not God
. “For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will reward each one according to his works.” (Matthew 16:27)
And Christ is not the only one who will judge others, but the disciples will also judge others. Will Christians consider them gods???
Then Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man sits on the throne of God, you will be judged.” “You also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” (Matthew 19:28)
