The differences between the essence, attributes and nature of the two hypostases (the Father and Jesus)

  • Christians always hum around texts that they imagine to be the divinity of Jesus; they disregard clear and explicit texts from the Bible that prove to every rational person that Jesus is not God, nor the son of God, nor a hypostasis … as Christians imagine…
    ;
This post, despite its brevity, clarifies for you the clear, explicit and scandalous differences in the Christians’ belief that Jesus is God or that the Father and Jesus are one, far from talking about the mysterious, unknown third person who is wronged by those who raised him to the rank of divinity!!

; So I say, and with God’s help:

The most prominent differences between God the Father and his messenger the Son according to the texts of the Bible

1The Will

The will of Jesus is different from the will of the Father; As in Matthew 7:21

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father in heaven.”

Luke 22:42

“He prayed, ‘Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.’”

=

The will … Jesus’ will and ability are different from the will of the Father, as in John 5:30

“I cannot do it of myself.” Something. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the Father who sent me.

=

Power … The Father is Powerful, and Jesus is Not; as in Genesis 17:1

“The Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, ‘I am God Almighty; walk before me and be perfect.’

  • John 5:30
“I can do nothing of myself; as I hear, so I judge.”
    John 5:19
“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father doing.”
    =

Knowledge … Only the Father Knows the Knowledge of the Hour, and Jesus Does Not Know; As in Mark 13:32

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

Irenaeus : known as the “Father of Church Tradition” (d. 202);

” While even the Lord, the very Son of God, allowed that the Father alone knows the very day and hour of judgment, when He plainly declares, “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, neither the Son, but the Father only.” If, then, the Son was not ashamed to ascribe the knowledge of that day to the Father only, but declared what was true regarding the matter , neither let us

be ashamed to reserve for God those greater questions which may occur to us.” (Against Heresies 2:28-6) (Against Heresies, 2.28.6)

CHURCH FATHERS: Against Heresies, II.28 (St. Irenaeus)

Featuring the Church Fathers, Catholic Encyclopedia, Summa Theologica and more.

Greatness

The Father is greater than Jesus; As in John 14:28

“If you loved me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for my Father is greater than I.”

And John 13:16

“Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is he who is sent greater than the one who sent him.”

=

6The Self

The Father’s own life is different from the Son’s own life that the Father gave him; as in John 5:26
“For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself”

7Number…the Father is Not the Son, and He is the One Who Sent Him and Bears Witness to Him; As in John 8:16

, “And if I judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent me.”
John 8:18
, “In your law it is written, ‘The testimony of two men is true… I am he who bears witness of myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness of me.”
John 5:31-37
, “If I bear witness of myself, my testimony is not true… he who bears witness I have another… and the Father himself who sent me bears witness about me”

Nature … The Father is a Spirit while the Son is a Human Being with a Body, Flesh and Bones; As in John 4:24

”God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
And Luke 24:39,
“Look at my hands and my feet: that it is I myself. Touch me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

Blasphemy … Whoever Blasphemes against the Son Will Be Forgiven, but whoever Blasphemes against the Holy Spirit Will Not Be Forgiven; As in Matthew 12:32

“Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.”

And Mark 3:29,

“All sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and blasphemies with which they blaspheme; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is liable to eternal damnation.”

10The Kingdom and Submission … The Kingdom belongs to the Father, and the Son will submit to Him; as in 1 Corinthians 15:24,
“And after this comes the end, when He delivers the Kingdom to God the Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and all power,”
and 1 Corinthians 15:28,
“And when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subject to Him who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.”

11Entering the Kingdom … Only he who does the will of the Father, not the Son or anyone else, will enter the Kingdom; As in Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven”

12Sitting in the kingdom … is in the hand of the Father only and not in the hand of the Son; as in Matthew 20:23

“The mother of Zebedee’s sons came to him with her two sons, and bowing down, she asked him for something… She said to him, “Say that these two sons of mine may sit, one at your right hand and the other at your left, in your kingdom.” 22 Jesus answered and said, “But to sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”

13Power and ability … The Father is capable of everything, while the Son is unable to do anything on his own; As in Matthew 19:26,
“Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’”
John 5:30
, “I can do nothing of myself. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the Father who sent me.”

14The Father is the one who gave the Son the ability and supported him by performing miracles; As in John 13:3

, “Before the feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father… Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going to God,”

and

Matthew 11:27,

“All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father.” Except the Son”

15 - Death … The Father does not die while the Son died; As in Deuteronomy 32:40,
“I, even I, am he; and there is no other god besides me. I kill and I make alive… I lift up my hand to heaven and say, ‘I live forever.’”
and 1 Timothy 6:16
, “The King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no human has seen or can see; to whom be honor and eternal power.”
and Matthew 27:50
“Then Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and gave up his spirit”

16Resurrection from death … God the Father is the one who raised the Son from death; As in Galatians 1:1,

“Paul, an apostle, not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead.”

And in Acts 2:32,

“This Jesus God raised up, of which we are all witnesses.”

And

in Romans 10:9

, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

17Teachings and faith … of the Father who sent the Son; as in John 7:16
“Jesus answered them and said, ‘My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me’
,
*John 12:44
“Then Jesus cried out and said, ‘Whoever believes in me believes not in me, but in him who sent me’
,
*John 12:49
“For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has given me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak”

18Worship … The Son was praying to the Father and calling on him; As in Luke 9:18,

“And while he was praying alone, the disciples were with him,”

and

Luke 6:12

, “And in those days he went out to the mountain to pray, and spent the whole night in prayer to God,” and Matthew 14:23

, “And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain apart to pray”

= 19The appearance and incarnation

… No one has ever seen the Father, and no one can see him; while the Son has been seen by all who lived with him; As in John 1:18, “No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.” * And 1 Timothy 6:16, “He alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no human being has seen or can see; to whom be honor and eternal power.” = 20The Father in heaven and the Son on earth ; As in 1 Kings 8:27 “Does God really dwell on the earth? Behold, the heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain you, how much less this house that I have built?” * Ecclesiastes 5:2 “God is in heaven, and you are on earth.” * Matthew 7:11 “If you, when you were evil, knew how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give?” Good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 23:9 “And call no one your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven” = 21The Father is great and holy and has no equal, while the Son is less than the angels ; as in Jeremiah 10:6 “There is none like You, O Lord! Great are You, and great is Your name in might.” Isaiah 46:5 “Listen to Me… To whom will you liken Me, or make Me equal or compare Me, that we may be likened?” Hebrews 2:7-9

“Someone in a certain place testified, saying, ‘What is man that you are mindful of him, or the Son of Man that you care for him? 7 You made him for a little while lower than the angels… 9 But he who was made for a little while lower than the angels, Jesus, we see crowned with glory and honor, because of the suffering of death.’”

Is it correct for Christians to prove the divinity of the Son of Man with texts that have more than one meaning? While the clear and blatant texts of their book confirm the difference between the Messenger Jesus, the Son of Man, who was unable to do anything on his own… and the Creator (God the Father), who was characterized by the attributes of perfection?

Can’t today’s Christians believe in the very clear and explicit sayings of Jesus, and believe the faith of his disciples and contemporaries?

Or Are the Decisions of Pagan Councils Higher and Stronger than the Holy Word of Their Lord?
