Hanana is a type of Christian religious practice practiced by the Nestorian churches, especially the Assyrian churches…

To prepare the hanana , one must bring the soil found in the graves of saints, including the tomb of St. Thomas . Then, this soil is mixed with water, oil, and wine, and the mixture is placed in the chalice. Now, we have prepared the hanana .

The rite of hanana is used at weddings. The bride and groom come to the church and stand before the priest. The priest takes from the hanana chalice and sprinkles the groom’s face. The chalice is then given to the groom, who drinks two-thirds of the mixture in the chalice, while the bride drinks the remaining third.

Hanana is also used for the sick, as Christians believe that by doing so, they are healing them. This is called the rite of the “anointing of the sick . ”
