Deception No. (16): I do not know anything today of what we were like during the time of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.

Musnad Ahmad 11539

I heard Anas bin Malik say: I do not know anything today of what we used to do during the time of the Messenger of God. We said to him: Then where is the prayer? He said: Did you not do in the prayer what you have learned?

Praise be to Allah who provided the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with infidels who would defend them and prove to the world that we only fell behind and lagged behind because we changed and deviated from the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah and the way of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). He provides us with evidence that the Companions saw a difference that had occurred and a change in what the Messenger and Companions were upon, and that they carried out the duty of enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, so they guided the people to these mistakes, especially since after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) there entered Islam those who had not witnessed the sayings and actions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). At that time, there entered Islam from the people of Ash-Sham, Iraq, Egypt, Persia, Europe, and after that from India, China, and others. They were people with different civilizations and inclinations, so they introduced things that the early Muslims from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not know, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) died while he was pleased with them

. So the noble Companion reminded them of what they had introduced, and when they tried to remove the accusation that they were praying as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray, he told them that they had changed some of the times due to their laziness. Or by their preoccupation with the world. Second: The deceiver should not think that the change that occurred is a change in the creed or a change by distortion, whether by addition or subtraction, for this is the case of the nations upon which Allah is angry and the case of the misguided nations who distorted and distort the words from their places. However, the change of this nation is the dominance of desires over some of its individuals. However, we are the nation that preserves the religion of Allah with the guidance of their imams from the companions of the Messenger of Allah, who left us the legacy of knowledge that informs us of what we know if we are following in the footsteps of the beloved Mustafa, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, or if there is some deviation, so we fight it and pursue it with reform.
