Deception No. (29)_ He Rudely Replies to Muhammad That He Is Not Crazy
Sahih Al-Bukhari = 5650 Sulayman bin Sard
narrated to us : Two men were arguing in the presence of the Prophet while we were sitting with him, and one of them was insulting his companion angrily, his face turning red. The Prophet said: I know a word which, if he were to say it, what he is feeling would go away. If he were to say: I seek refuge in God from the accursed Satan, they said to the man: Do you not hear what the Prophet is saying? He said: I am not mad.

1 - Two men were arguing in the presence of the Prophet while we were sitting with him, and one of them was insulting his companion, angry and his face had turned red. The Prophet said, “I know a word which, if he said it, what he feels would go away. If he said, ‘I seek refuge in God from the accursed Satan,’ they said to the man, ‘Don’t you hear what he is saying?’ He said, ‘I am not mad.’”

First: The forger mentioned the hadith that”two men were insulting each other in the presence of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, while we were sitting with him, and one of them was insulting his companion, angry and his face had turned red. The Prophet,‘I know a word, if he said it, what he is feeling would go away. If he said:I seek refuge in God from the accursed Satan.’ They said to the man: ‘Do you not hear what the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, is saying?’ He said: ‘I am not crazy.’”
Second: The man did not respond to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, directly, but rather to the companion who went to remind him of the Prophet’s advice to him, so the man said to the companion: ‘I am not crazy.’ This statement, of course, is its own affair.
Third: It was mentioned in the hadith that the mudallis himself narrated that two men quarrelled in front of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he did not mention that they were among the companions who were constant companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Rather, the narration differentiated between the two men and the companions, saying: “And we - meaning the companions - were sitting with the Messenger of Allah.”
Fourth: Al-Nawawi said: This is the speech of one who does not understand the religion of Allah and does not know that anger is a temptation from the temptations of Satan and he imagined that the seeking of refuge that the Messenger advised is specific to the insane. Perhaps he was one of the rude Arabs, or it is said that he was perhaps a disbeliever or a hypocrite, or the intensity of his anger took him out of the realm of moderation, such that the advisor rebuked him. Abu Dawud narrated a hadith from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on the authority of Atiyah al-Sa’di, that anger is from Satan. Umdat al-Qari Sharh Sahih al-Bukhari, vol. 32, p. 229.
Fifth: The hadith contains evidence of the truthfulness of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in his statement: On the authority of ‘Iyad ibn Himar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “Allah has revealed to me that you should be humble so that no one transgresses against another, nor One boasts over another.” So I said: O Messenger of God! Tell me, if a man insults me in a gathering, and they are less than me, and I respond to him, is there any blame on me for that? He said: “Those who insult each other are two devils who argue and lie.” Sahih al-Adab al-Mufrad, vol. 1, p. 178.
