Marriage to Zainab(Quick Version

  • Christians and atheists often wonder about the innocence of dumb animals: How can you say that the Prophet of Islam had great morals, while the books of interpretation and biography say that he desired his adopted son’s wife (Zainab) and intended to divorce her so that he could marry her?!
    In response to these talking animals, I say, and Allah is the Grantor of success:

  • First: The story begins when Zaid bin Haritha divorced his wife; after it became impossible for the marital life between them to continue in the desired manner…

  • Al-Bukhari narrated in his Sahih 7420: Zaid came complaining about his wife, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept saying: Fear Allah and keep your wife. Aisha said: If the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had concealed something, he would have concealed this. So she used to boast to the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), saying: Your families married you, but Allah married me from above the seven heavens

In order for marriage to continue between a man and a woman, Allah created three stages for it, as He, the Almighty, said: And among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may find tranquility in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy

These stages are: tranquility, affection, and mercy. Zayd ibn Haritha, may Allah be pleased with him, did not find tranquility, affection, or mercy in this marriage, so he went to complain to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger used to say to him: {Keep your wife and fear Allah} Al-Ahzab 37

👈 By Allah, you wise people, if the Messenger of Allah wanted to marry her, wouldn’t it have been easy for him to advise him to divorce her when he complained to him about her the first time?!

And

even if he did and Zayd divorced her; At that time, the custom of adoption was still present in people’s souls, and it was not easy to overcome its consequences. One of the most important of these consequences was that the father would not marry the woman of his adoption after his death or divorce from his wife, and the adopted son would inherit from his adopted son like a son from the loins.

👈 So Allah Almighty wanted to abolish this deep-rooted pre-Islamic custom by practical application; and He chose for this task the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and ordered him to marry Zainab bint Jahsh after her divorce from Zaid.

---;

  • Second: Christians rely on a false and fabricated narration that says that the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saw Zainab, may Allah be pleased with her, while she was unveiled and he liked her

  • This claim is the result of these ignorant, ignorant, imaginary people not knowing that Zainab was born when the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was over twelve years old, and she grew up and was raised in front of him; she was his cousin before

was Zaid’s wife.

Did he not notice her charms until late, after she was married, and he himself was the one who married her to him, and he had years before the veil was imposed!!

The

Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, proposed to Zainab bint Jahsh to his servant Zaid bin Haritha himself, but she refused at first and refused because he was not equal to her in lineage and honor, as she was from the Quraysh tribe, while Zaid bin Haritha was a servant of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, insisted on this marriage to strike the false beliefs and customs that Islam does not permit; in Islam there is no superiority of one person over another, and there is no discrimination between all the spectrums of people, as Allah Almighty says (Indeed, the most honorable of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted)

… ;

If she had been in the heart of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), nothing would have prevented him from marrying her. Would he have given up on her as a virgin and married her to Zayd himself, then desired her even though she was divorced… O group of lost sheep!!!

  • Third: What is the reason for the presence of this narration in the books of Muslims?

  • This narration was transmitted by the commentators because the science of hadith is not their specialty; therefore, Ibn Taymiyyah used to say - Majmoo’ Fatawa Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, Vol. 6, p. 388 -:
    {And these books that many people call books of tafsir contain a lot of tafsir transmitted from the salaf that are falsely attributed to them, and statements about Allah and His Messenger based on mere opinion, or even a mere analogical or literary doubt}

👈 As for the ruling of the hadith scholars on the narrations transmitted by these ignorant people of the science of hadith; - How can animals learn from hadith? - The scholars said the following about it:

  • Imam Ibn Kathir said - Interpretation of the Great Qur’an by Imam Imad al-Din Ibn Kathir, Vol. 6, p. 424 -: {Ibn Jarir and Ibn Abi Hatim mentioned here traces from some of the predecessors, may God be pleased with them, which we wanted to ignore due to their lack of authenticity, so we will not include them.}

Imam Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani said - Fath al-Bari bi Sharh Sahih al-Bukhari by Imam Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, Vol. 12, p. 503 -:

{And other narrations were reported by Ibn Abi Hatim and al-Tabari and transmitted by many of the commentators, and we should not be preoccupied with them. What I have mentioned of them is the reliable one, and the result is that what the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was concealing was God informing him that she would become his wife.}

Sheikh al-Shanqeeti said - Adwa al-Bayan fi Tafsir al-Qur’an bi al-Qur’an by Sheikh Muhammad al-Amin al-Shanqeeti, Vol. 6, p. 639 -:

{All of these narrations that say that Zaynab fell into his heart, may God bless him and grant him peace, are not authentic.}

Judge Abu Bakr Ibn Al-Arabi said - Ahkam Al-Quran by Judge Abu Bakr Ibn Al-Arabi, Vol. 3, p. 577 -:

{All of these narrations have weak chains of transmission}.

The

narration that the beasts use as evidence is not sound in its chain of transmission, and not even one scholar has said that it is sound.

  • Finally: Although this narration is a lie, falsehood, and not sound; however, assuming that it is sound, the most it contains is that it says that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, desired Zaynab and married her after Zayd divorced her…;

  • As for the book of the Christians, it says that the Prophet of God, David - God forbid - desired a married woman after he saw her naked while she was bathing, so he ordered his soldiers to bring her; He raped her and committed adultery with her, and when the woman became pregnant from him, he tried to urge her husband to have intercourse with her, and when the husband refused, David killed him in a great betrayal of his army and soldiers so that his affair would not be exposed among the people!!

This

is in addition to the prophets’ incest and stories of adultery and debauchery; so what did the Christians do?!!

👈 They disbelieved in the prophet who did not desire a woman or commit adultery with her, but married her; and they believed in prophets who were rapists, immoral, adulterers, and murderers according to the description of their book!!

..

And the surprise … is that their book mentioned that the mother of their god married her adopted brother, Joseph the carpenter!!

In the story of the marriage of Joseph the carpenter to the Virgin Mary, we find that Joachim (Hali), Mary’s father, did not have a son; so they attributed Joseph the carpenter to him and his name became (Joseph bin Hali), and thus Joseph became Mary’s adopted brother!!

Father Tadros Malti and Saint Severus of Antioch say, Matthew 1 - Interpretation of the Gospel of Matthew / The lineage and birth of the king:

(Saint Joseph was the son of Jacob physically, but the son of Heli legally, because Heli died without having a son, so Jacob married his wife to have offspring for him so that his name would not be erased from Israel, as if Saint Joseph, the fiancé of Saint Mary, was the son of King David according to the two lists!!)

This makes the Christian interpretations lead to a catastrophe, which is that after the marriage of (Joseph, son of Heli) to (Mary, daughter of Heli), the mother of the god of the Christians, his adopted sister (legally according to the law of Moses) … an incestuous marriage occurred between them!!

👈 This is considered incest, forbidden in Judaism and Christianity, which did not abolish adoption as Islam did.

If the marriage of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to the ex-wife of his adopted son to nullify the custom of adoption forever is adultery from your point of view, then you are accusing the mother of your God of being an adulteress for marrying her brother Joseph…by adoption
