Prophet Was Afraid in the Cave of Hira Because He Saw a Devil and Not an Angel(Quick Version
.
Changed the channel name: Prophet was afraid in the Cave of Hira because he saw a devil and not an angel
- It was mentioned in Sahih Al-Bukhari - Book of the Beginning of Revelation, Hadith 3 - on the authority of Lady Aisha that she said: ” The first revelation that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began with was a good vision in his sleep. He would not see a vision except that it would come like the break of dawn … Then she mentioned the worship of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the cave of Hira and Gabriel embracing the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)… So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned with his heart trembling and entered upon Khadija bint Khuwaylid (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: Cover me up, cover me up. So they covered him up until the fear left him.
” - The Christians concluded from the fear of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in this hadith that the one who saw him was a devil and not an angel. In fact, some of them, whose insight Allah has blinded, have gone so far as to claim that what afflicted the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was nothing but a type of epilepsy!!
In response to this I say, and Allah is the Grantor of success:
- First: The Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) panic in the first meeting between him and Gabriel (peace be upon him) was a** very natural** reaction from a person who has been revealed.
Imagine a man worshipping God alone on a mountain in the darkness of night; an angel appears to him, embraces him and disappears from his sight; it is very natural for him to be afraid, disturbed and upset!
What happened to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is the same as what happened to the prophets before him; as Saint Cyril of Jerusalem says:
( If Daniel, when he saw Gabriel, who is nothing but a servant of God, was terrified at once and fell on his face, and the prophet did not dare to answer him, even though the angel himself came to him in the form of a human being… Gabriel’s appearance terrified the prophets ) p. 100 of Tadros Yacoub Malti’s commentary on the Second Chronicles.

If the prophets were afraid of Gabriel after he appeared to them in human form; then what about the reaction of a prophet who saw the angel in his true form that God created him for the first time?
The reaction of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, was like the reaction of his brothers, the prophets and messengers. If the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was a liar, why did he not hide his fear and terror of what he saw and directly inform that he was a prophet receiving revelation?
A little bit of reason would have been enough to refute this claim!

- Second: The claim of the idiots that the being that the Prophet saw in the cave of Hira was strangling him; which negates his being an angel is nothing but a claim of spiteful people that no rational person in the world has said.
The text of the hadith and its explicit meaning do not state that the angel strangled the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, when he appeared to him; rather, he covered him - embraced him or hugged him - tightly until he was exhausted.. like a lover does with his beloved, as evidenced by the fact that he was not harmed by him.
The meaning of “covered me” as the scholars of language said: “embraced me and squeezed me tightly: until I was exhausted .
” While the ignorant spiteful people try to manipulate the meaning of one word that came in one situation “the beginning of revelation”; they completely ignored and turned a blind eye to the twenty-three full years in which revelation was being sent down to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace!!
They tried to deceive their followers from the lost sheep, and they generalized a situation that did not take a few seconds from the life of the call to 23 full years during which the revelation descended upon the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, day and night.
The truth is that this panic and oppression did not happen again; after the Prophet felt comfortable with the Messenger of his Lord to him, and received the revelation from him with peace of mind for 23 years.

- Third: It would have been better for the Jewish and Christian communities to believe in the prophethood of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, after reading this hadith; it is written among them that he is the illiterate who does not know how to read, and we expected them to know him as they know their own children, as the Holy Quran has informed us!

Fourth: If human feelings and symptoms of fear, disturbance and discomfort negate prophecy in your opinion, then why do you not disbelieve in the prophecy of the prophets of your Holy Book?
And even more so, do you disbelieve in the divinity of Jesus, the God who was disturbed and upset? -
Jesus was disturbed and upset in spirit; as stated in John 11:33
“And when Jesus saw her, he said to her, Crying… He was moved in spirit and troubled. -
The prophet of God Daniel was saddened and terrified by visions; as in Daniel 7:15
“I, Daniel, am grieved in spirit within my body, and the visions of my head trouble me.” -
The prophet of God Moses in your book was terrified and trembling as in Hebrews 12:21
“And the sight was so fearful that Moses said, ‘I am terrified and trembling!’” -
Even Mary, the mother of your God, was afraid when the angel appeared to her; she was disturbed and afraid; As in Luke 1:28
: “And the angel came in to her and said, ‘Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women.’ When she saw him, she was troubled at his words, and cast her mind what this greeting could mean. But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary.’”
If the fear of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he saw the angel and the veils of the unseen were revealed to him for the first time casts doubt on his prophecy; Despite the fact that he brought a miraculous book and a concise statement like the Holy Quran, with which God challenged mankind and jinn until the Day of Resurrection to produce even one surah like it…
then it is more appropriate that fearing your God casts doubt on his divinity,
and fearing the mother of your God confirms that what she saw was a devil and not an angel,
and fearing the prophets of your God casts doubt on their prophethood and that they are merely liars
. So do you accept applying your standard to your religion? Or do you use double standards and see only… with one eye!!
