We begin with the testimony of a man of value in the Orthodox Church, who was one of the candidates for the papal throne. Father Matti El-Meskeen says, detonating a bombshell, that the Book of Ezekiel… He first prepares for the bombshell, saying : [ The cautious reader will be shocked by the use of the ugly, obscene language in its most abject meaning and images in addressing the people of Israel, as a representation of the people and a metaphor for the actions of the people, with shameful representations of their betrayal ] ( [1] )

Then he says: [ Twenty-four chapters in which Ezekiel opens his prophecy to them, in which there is all the filth of fornication and human obscenity, this from the side of man, and all the anger and punishment with all kinds of known torments from the side of God… What we conclude from these chapters, dear reader, is that God is difficult, very difficult and terrifying, and woe and woe to whoever despises His kindness and long-suffering ] ( [2] )

In the book The Epistle of Ezekiel, the author states that the texts of Ezekiel 16-23 are pornographic and Christians do not like to read them in churches: [ After the genealogies in the Book of Chronicles, immediately come the blatant metaphors of Ezekiel 16 and 23, as chapters that are not recommended to be read in churches, and likewise, they are unlikely to be preached from, as they are long, may contain offensive phrases, and their expressions in some places are explicitly pornographic … In fact, it is difficult to imagine Ezekiel pouring out this torrent of prophetic erotic imagery without being subjected to severe embarrassment and disgust ] ( [3] )

Father Stephan Charpentier says that Ezekiel goes beyond the bounds of good taste to the point that you are ashamed of his words! Glory be to God, he is speaking about a sacred text, divine inspiration! [ Ezekiel is a man who cannot do anything as everyone else does… but he almost goes beyond good taste: see chapters 4 and 5 and some passages from his proverbs that a guard station would be ashamed of: so do not read chapters 16 or 23! ] ( [4] )

The Encyclopedia of the Bible states that the scholar Jerome said that the book was not allowed to be read except by those who reached the age of 30 and that it was hidden from the common people: [ Jerome says that at the beginning and at the end of the book there are obscure parts, so… it was not allowed to be read except by those who reached the age of 30… The Book of Ezekiel was considered, along with the books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Esther, and the Song of Songs, as books that some demanded to be hidden from the common people… Zunz adds another reason, which is the desire to avoid desecrating the sacred vision at the beginning of the book ] ( [5] )

Excerpts from the Masterpieces of the Book of Ezekiel

Let’s not prolong the talk too much and go to the texts of the Book of Ezekiel. I feel ashamed to put these texts and read them to myself, how can they be read among ordinary Christians, or even among women! Even if they were symbolic as they say, is it conceivable that God would compare the betrayal of cities and the worship of other gods to these blatant sexual expressions!? I apologize here for the Book of Song of Songs, for I did it an injustice and I thought it was the most obscene in the Bible! But it became clear to me that Ezekiel is more intense, violent and daring, and here are some of the texts.

Of course, chapters 16 and 23 are the most exciting sexual texts in the Bible. So read with me, dear reader. Pardon me for offending your modesty in these texts that Christians and Jews sanctify! They claim that they are symbolic. Here are the masterpieces of chapter 16.

Then I passed by you and saw you trampled in your blood. Then I said to you, “By your blood live.” I said to you, “By your blood live.” I made you a high place like the plants of the field; and you grew and became large and attained the splendor of ornaments. And I adorned you with jewels; I put bracelets on your hands and a chain around your neck . I put a ring on your nose and earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head. You were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was fine linen and fine linen and brocade. And you ate fine flour, honey, and oil, and you became very beautiful, and you were fit to reign. And your name went out among the nations because of your beauty, for it was perfect through my splendor which I had bestowed upon you, says the Lord God. And in all your abominations and your whorings you did not remember the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare and you were trampled in your blood . And after all your wickedness Woe, woe to you, says the Lord GOD! Because you have built yourself a high place and made yourself a high place in every street. You have built your high place at the top of every highway and have defiled your beauty. You have spread your feet for all who pass by and have multiplied your whoring. You have committed whoring with your neighbors, the Egyptians, who are thick-fleshed. You have increased your whoring to provoke me to anger. Behold, I have stretched out my hand against you, and have withheld from you your ordinance, and have delivered you to the desire of your haters, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your wicked way. And you have played the whore with the Assyrians, for you were not satisfied; so you played the whore with them, and were not satisfied again. And you have multiplied your whoredoms in the land of Canaan, even to the land of the Chaldeans, and with this also you were not satisfied. How sick is your heart, says the Lord God, that you have done all this as an adulterous and wicked woman, that you have built your tent at the head of every highway, and made your high place in every street. And you were not like a harlot, but despising wages. You adulterous wife, taking strangers in place of your husband. All harlots give gifts, but you gave gifts to all your lovers, and bribed them to come to you from every side to commit adultery with you. And in you, the opposite of the custom of women has happened in your adultery, for no one has committed adultery behind you, but you You give wages , but no wages are given to you, and you have become the opposite. Therefore, you harlot, hear the word of the Lord.

Is This Divine Speech?! Is This Holy Revelation? I Leave the Answer to You, Dear Reader. In Chapter 23, the Author of the Book Tells Us a touching Story of the Two Sisters. I Will Share with You Excerpts from This Story. I Hope You Will Contemplate These Texts, Read Them with Your Heart, and Decide for Yourself whether These Words Can Be Attributed to God, even if They Are Symbolic

[ O son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother. They played the harlot in Egypt in their youth. There their breasts were tickled, and there their virginity was touched. Their names were Oholah the elder and Oholibah her sister. They were mine, and they bore sons and daughters. And their names were Samaria, Oholah, and Jerusalem, Oholibah. And Oholah played the whore under me, and she loved her lovers, the mighty Assyrians, who were clothed in blue, governors and commanders, all of them lustful young men, horsemen riding on horses. All of them in appearance are captains of chariots, like the children of Babylon, the Chaldeans, the land of their birth. She adored them when her eyes caught sight of them, and she sent messengers to them into the land of the Chaldeans.

But the children of Babylon came to her in the bed of love and defiled her with their whoredoms. So she was defiled by them, and her soul was alienated from them. She revealed her whoredoms and revealed [ The most frequently repeated word in the chapter is zana, meaning indulging in fornication, and the names associated with it. Again, the use of this expression to describe Israel’s worship of other gods was not new . But the insult of calling Israel a prostitute and a whore about twenty-one times in this chapter, especially with sexually explicit verbal images, is something that is striking ] ( [6] )
